Honest Crafters mention "Restoration by Design" a lot these days. It sounds fancy BUT- what does it actually mean?
Today we will be covering this terminology (and service) in detail, and why you should definitely know about it too - if you're a fashionista, or owns a luxury bag collection!
Here at Honest Crafters, it refers to a Restoration Service that is not limited to restoring the item to near its original condition - rather, a complete overhaul that restores the item to a NEW & BESPOKE design. This new design is custom-made by hand using the original authentic parts of the bag that is sent to us. The design can be provided by yourself, or suggested by our Bag Specialists/Creative Artisans!

Louis Vuitton Neverfull, to be restored into a custom Wallet & Shoulder Bag!
We know what you are thinking! Even if our technical credentials are proven, why on earth would anyone want to change up the iconic and classic designs that they have paid premium dough on?
Well, all things start from somewhere. Our previous client sent in her discontinued and rare LV Murakami, and now another client sent in the most popular Louis Vuitton design - the LV Neverfull. Requesting not only restoration for her aged Neverfull, but restoration by design to 2 different custom-made items!

Our Artisan measured, cut, and reassembled every component - every cut of canvas & leather. Not stopping there, every piece is precisely stitched together with surgical precision to match LV's original style of stitching. Then edge-coated by hand to ensure the seals are clean and secure.
